Deluxe Yukon Sightseeing Tour
Departing from Skagway's glacially-carved coastline by van, you will ride over the coastal mountain range through the White Pass Summit Area known as the Tormented Valley. And that's just the beginning of your memorable Yukon Sightseeing Tour.
Making your way across the northwest corner of British Columbia and into the southwest corner of the Yukon, you will savor majestic mountain vistas, pristine lakes, and crisp, clean air. A photo stop will be made at Emerald Lake before traveling on to Caribou Crossing Trading Post and Museum.
During your time at the Trading Post, you can relax and enjoy a tasty Yukon-style lunch and visit one of the most spectacular wildlife museums in North America. The museum's exhibits range from Ice Age specimens to animals more recently introduced into the Yukon. There are exotic animals from both the arctic and sub-arctic regions of Alaska and the Yukon, as well as from around the world.
If time permits, your next excursion stop will be the Carcross Desert, which is the world's smallest desert. Here, you will be able to get some sand in your shoes and take pictures that will be treasured for a lifetime.
Photo stops and possible wildlife sightings await as you journey back to Skagway. Once there, your tour guide will drop you off in the center of the Skagway shopping district or return you to your cruise ship.
For those in your party who would like to learn more about sled dogs and the art of mushing, they can opt for the Yukon Dog Musher Adventure Tour at the same time. Both tours travel on the same van to and from Caribou Crossing Trading Post and Museum.
