Cancellation Updates:
Recent updates have been made to cancellation schedules and refund guidelines for various cruise lines. Contact your Sales Agent or our Customer Service department online, via email, or by phone at 1-800-543-1915 and ask about potential opportunities for flexible cancellation policies, rebooking opportunities and other options.
Avalon Waterways Peace of Mind Policy
NEW [Temporary] Policy: All 2022 travel bookings automatically come with our Peace of Mind Travel Plan*?free of charge. This plan gives guests the ability to move their vacation before departure to another destination, vacation, date or brand in our vast travel portfolio, no questions asked. For 2022 Europe and North America bookings, travel dates can be moved without penalty to any other brand, destination or date up to 90 days before your vacation departure date. Vacations to South America, Asia, Africa, South Pacific and other select tours/cruises must be moved up to 120 days before departure date. Groups of 8 or more, Group policies apply; exclusions may also apply. Vacations moved outside these time frames will be subject to normal cancellation penalties. Terms apply.

If a booking cancellation is received by Avalon prior to the final payment date of your vacation, your non-refundable land deposit and Travel Protection payments will be retained in addition to your Flex-Air deposit, Instant Purchase Air payment and service fee, and/or intra-vacation air deposit. For individual reservations, the following per person cancellation fees apply. Total price does not include discounts, promotions, or special incentives.
A $250 non-refundable, non-transferable, per person, per vacation deposit is required to reserve space for you, with limited exceptions, as noted below.
The following exceptions apply to these vacations:
- For vacations on the Delfin III, the per person cruise deposit is $500.
- For vacations that include Oberammergau in 2020, the per person cruise deposit is $600.

Cancellation fees may also apply to any additional services, including extra night accommodations, independently supplied services, and optional excursions reserved prior to, during, and after the tour. If flight changes, including but not limited to flight cancellations or name changes, are requested after full land/cruise and air deposits are received, revision fees, change fees, or airline cancellation fees will apply. In many instances, airline revision or change fees can be up to $300, but in some instances may be up to 100% of the ticket price. Cancellation penalties will be quoted at time of cancellation.
