Princess Cruises ships have a straightforward class categorization, all ships in the fleet fall into one of these classes. The main difference between categories is the gross tonnage, amenities, and dining venues available onboard. As of 2024, Princess Cruises has the following ship classes:

• Royal Class: One of the main characteristics of this class is the Sewalk (not included on all Royal Class ships, however, the majority has it), a glass floor that extends 28 feet over the ship's edge, this allows guests to take a scenic walk without leaving the ship.
